Good thoughts. 2 issues:

1) how do you think to convey all the data on the app with miriads of small suppliers not IT savvy and using hundreds of different softwares and database formats? It is something I am working on with one of our companies.

2) lab testing for authenticity are costly and complex, can take several days and hundreds of dollars. On a simple food like an ypple you have hundreds of regulated pesticides. This can be a major roadblock in the project in my opinions.
