2023 is behind us. For me, it has been a year of significant changes, both personally and for our business.

Let’s start with the first topic.

I turned 40. I faced both family issues and, as usual, business challenges. Due to the first, I had to be separated from my kids for a long time, which was akin to experiencing a transplant without anesthesia. Due to the second, I had to fight for everything I had built in the last ten years.

Someone will say I am a fool, someone that this is a typical middle-age crisis, someone that I made poor choices. The truth is that often our choices cannot be defined so easily: they can be good in certain circumstances and with the data available, and later they may prove to be wrong. Any choice we make is influenced by a myriad of psychological, external, and factual factors, which not even the wisest and the most balanced can fully evaluate.

We can make bad choices, but we should never compromise with our core values: that kind of friction is the one that will keep you awake at night and erode you from the inside. That kind of choice is the one you do not wanna make. All the rest can be fixed.
